UK hardcore

Modern form of happy hardcore, less childish feel with supersaw leads.

  1. In the Hardcore Techno scene outside the commercial Happy Hardcore scene of UK there is also an alternative "UK Hardcore" term. This refers to the more underground UK sound started by Deathchant label. Some call it "the Deathchant sound" others "UK Hardcore". The tracks are uptempo (+/- 200 bpm), very similar to Frenchcore, but characterised by rough industrial kicks, scratching, hiphop samples and other tricks in the fills. Has some breakcore influence, however the tracks always stay straightforward. Hellfish, DJ Producer and Detest among others are known for this sound.
